All Work and No Play...
Dec. 18th, 2006 01:07 pm... makes us ready for Christmas 12th night.
We missed the Casa de Comida Buena's party at the Madbaker-JIMR house on Saturday. Boo. We really wanted to see all of our lovely friends, but Moriven was fighting one headache with drugs and fixing his other headache with motherboard #3 (grrr).
Two weeks ago, motherboard #1 warped. Then, #2 didn't work and #3 seems good so far. I'm sure he'll post with more details. Also, if you have been trying to reach us on email, well, you're more likely to get us now. And the living room no longer looks like a couple of computers got drunk and threw up all over. Thank you, honey! Now it's just the presents that have taken over.
I was able to make huge strides on my 12th night dress. Which is good, since I really only had this weekend to dedicate to it. Chemise: down to handwork & hem
Partlet: done
Dress: Cut out and mostly serged. My serger heats up after heavy use and starts breaking the thread. I don't know why. It's very frustrating.

My goal is to have everything down to handwork by Thursday so that I can turn the sewing room into a guest room. I don't know how much handwork I'll get done while we have family visiting, but I'm hoping I'll make some progress.
