That's just weird
Dec. 15th, 2006 11:38 amSo I interviewed for my job today. That was pretty strange. First, because I'm already doing the work as a contractor, and second, because I've never had an interviewer apologise for having to ask questions.
I have worked with everyone around the table, so some of the standardized questions were, well, pointless, since they know a lot of what I have done. Some of the questions were worded badly, so they had to clarify a bit. It was nice when one to the interviewers chimed in with an example of what I had done that answered the question at hand. Tag-team interviewing: clearly the way to go.
I was really relaxed, since I really don't care strongly about getting the job. I'd like to work for the company, but this job is one I could do in my sleep. In fact, I'm sleeping right now.
In any case, they won't decide until January, since my manager is on vaction through the end of the year. In fact, she wasn't even at the interviews.
