Weekend success

The trip to Poppy was a success. I found some yummy blue wool, hefty blue silk, some trim, and a boat load of twill tape. (I have no idea how I use up twill tape so quickly, but I do.)
Sunday we cleaned and rearranged furniture. It was an amazing thing.
We moved the desk into the living room and moved the couches and TV around. The whole room looks much larger, which boggles me, since we added a large piece of furniture. The new speaker set up is awesome, too. We'll probably rearrange a little more when we buy a new TV*, plus the feng shui is a little off.
I am reminded how lucky I am that moriven is so flexible about all of this, since we have friends who are not so open to trying new room arrangements.
As a result of the rearranging, the LR was cleaned thoroughly. We also hit the bedroom and sewing room. There is no longer anything cluttering up the floor: the suitcases from W-A war were unpacked and stowed(the clean clothes only - dirties were packed in a hamper and washed right away), the thigh-high pile of ironing was done, the detritus of four months of sewing projects was processed, and several months of new fabric was hung up to start aging**.
I think I'll vacuum again tonight since the dust will have had a chance to settle. We have a little more random stuff to clear off the kitchen table - living room detritus, mostly - and then I we'll be in a place to entertain again.
*Don't know when that'll happen, but it's bound to be in the next few months. The control board is starting to go and since the TV is 20 years old and not at all digital, we'll be replacing the box instead of having it repaired.
** I hang up silks and velvets in the sewing room closet so they don't get wrinkly.
