Also on my list of things to do...

I need to contact the autocrat of Southern Shores Warlord. Hopefully this year we can actually hold the followup tournament to my rapier championship and I can get a successor after six years. Well, we've held the party, but no one's come.

I swear I haven't even had to pick up a sword to defend this since I won. I mean, I even let my authorization lapse and still hold on to the championship. That is very sad. Pathetic! Insulting to my beloved Southern Shores!   ;-)   

Look for my challenge in the Tempus. (It's nice to have an "in".)  It will be very tongue-in-cheek, with a touch of old-fashioned gauntlet-dropping goodness. 

I'll also run my very popular "why I can't come to Johanna's rapier tournament" letter-writing contest. Look for the last winner's epistle in the next Tempus. It is fricken hilarious.

Humor: good. Makes people WANT to read the newsletter.

As I indicated last night, if you want to grab anything off the History site, it should be okay. All that stuff I've been posting is so old, and no important personal data is there (I put a lot of "contact info omitted" stuff in there), so have fun with it. There's a great one ("War of the Minds II" between Westermark and Southern Shores -- heck the stuff for "War of the Minds" early in AS XV is great!) coming up for early AS XVI, but I'm not quite done there. The lead-in stuff is hysterical, though ...

OH! And some of the early Mists/Cynagua war copy is fun, too. Not as funny as the stuff coming out of the Westermark, but ... that's hard to top.

Let me know when you've got this worked out. If you need someone to come in and help train new rapier fighters in Southern Shores I'd be happy to drag Seaghdha along and we can train and authorize people.

Mostly, I'd like fencers to come to the tournament. And compete or marshal or simply look marvelous.
