The dumbedy dumbness continues
Jan. 24th, 2007 01:38 pm...at work, of course.
My manager told me that she wanted to extend my contract, but did not have full time work for me and that she would check with the other managers in the broader department to see whether they have work for me. Well, she extended my contract part time through March 20, but I haven't heard anything about more work.
It is time to go someplace new. I'm doing piecework and I'm bored, bored, bored.
I've talked to two recruiters at my contract house (Teksystems - they're good folks) and given them my updated resume. One difficulty I have for them is that I prefer working on the 680 corridor. At the moment, this is a neccessity - we're down to one vehicle until we can get Moriven's car fixed.
We had to stop using the car since the timing chain is going to crap and if it goes completely, the whole engine goes bye-bye. He is going to do the work himself to save the $2k in mechanic's costs, so the car is going to take some time.
