It lives!

Well, I finally am beginning to feel like a human being again.

12th night was mostly a haze. I was still woozy from the flu (or, as folks here at work are saying, "oh, you had a cold and the flu" - I'm not quite sure what that means.), but I had a really nice time chatting with friends. I'm not sure what we talked about, but I had a nice time. Hurray for having no responsibilities! Sure, there was the Herald's meeting on Sunday, but I left after an hour and besides, I'm not on the roster any more. Does that mean I don't have to do any more work for them? *sigh* Probably not ;-)

I do not at all regret not finishing a new dress for myself. I was very happy to finish callistoni's ropa instead. Hurray for the pink brocade we got on the big fabric shopping trip.

I don't know quite what it says about me that I try to make my friends cry, but I like to think it's in a good way. A friend once told me that I use my powers for evil :-> Really, I only do it in the service of a good gift. I get a great deal of satisfaction in bending my wiles to purchasing gifts for folks while they're in the same store. Tee hee hee.

Good news for heralds

BBC news has reported a story that will make heralds and royals everywhere happier. Apparently, having sex makes people more relaxed for public speaking. But it has to be real sex; stopping mid-masturb just won't cut it.

After the tinsel

My main accomplishment yesterday was taking down the Christmas decorations. Tonight, Moriven gets to try out the new shop vac he got for Christmas. Maybe this year we won't clog up the suck machine with pine needles.

There's still lots of sewing to do, but first we really need to get the house straightened again. The kitchen table is buried, the camp bed needs to go downstairs, there's laundry to do... and the garage, oh the garage...

Only then do I get back to the question: which of my partially completed projects comes next? The yummy blue houppelande that needs lining and a belt and hat? The stripy germans? The bazillion pearls and hat of Anne of Cleves?
