DMV madness
Jun. 11th, 2008 04:54 pmI needed to renew my license, so I ended up at the Fremont DMV shortly after noon...
I was anticipating all of the heinousness that I've come to expect from the people who work there (and the whacked-out impatient lunchtime customers). Instead, I was given a number and called after just a short wait. Just two people were called before me. I had my paperwork and money. The whole transaction took less than five minutes. There were three people in line ahead of me at the picture counter. The gal who was supposed to run the special machine slipped away, so the gal from the next window over came to fill in! That's mad customer service from the DMV. A signaure, a thumb print, and a photo and I was on my way. I think I was out of there in 15-20 minutes.
Wow.
