On Commuting
Sep. 11th, 2007 11:06 amCommuting is, at best, a neccessary evil made worse through the efforts of others. For instance, I was second in line at a metering light last week and ready to reach out and smack #1 with a clue-by-four. He was sitting staring at the metering light to his left - the one for the carpools - yes, the light for the other lane. Our light had cycled through a couple of times before I started honking. I had to honk and gesture to the correct light a couple of times before the ding-dong got it. Arrgh.
Occasionally, though something brightens the drive. Like today I noticed that there is a lumber yard in Fremont along my commute route. How cool is that? Okay, I realize that you're probably not as excited by that as I am.
